Iranian delegation at the Vatican

Fr. Diego Sarrió Cucarella, M.Afr, Dean of Studies of PISAI, participated in the tenth Colloquium jointly organized by the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID), Vatican City, and the Center for Interreligious Dialogue (CID), of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Teheran, Islamic Republic of Iran. Twelve participants from each side attended this colloquium, which took place in Rome on 22–23 November 2016 and included a private audience with His Holiness Pope Francis. The theme of the encounter was: “Extremism and violence in the name of Religion. Which approach to religion?” The Catholic and the Iranian delegations were led respectively by His Eminence Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, President of the PCID, and by His Excellency Dr. Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, President of the ICRO and member of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution.
