New assignment for Fr. Lawrence C. Emehel

The PISAI is glad to announce the recent appointment of Rev. Fr. Lawrence Chukwunweike Emehel as head of the Interreligious Dialogue Unit at the Department of Mission and Dialogue of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, which is the administrative headquarters of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria.
Fr. Emehel is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto in north-western Nigeria, covering the predominantly Muslim States of Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi and Katsina. He obtained the Licentiate in Arabic and Islamic Studies at PISAI on 13 June 2013.

The academic community of PISAI warmly congratulates Fr. Emehel and wishes him many blessings as he takes on his new pastoral responsibility.
